At its August 8, 2022 meeting, the Northampton Historical Commission voted to
support O’Connell Hawley LLC’s CPA application for rehabilitation of the former St.
John Cantius Church, provided that the guidelines of Lacey Thaler Reilly Wilson’s
Historic Structures Report are followed, and that a permanent historic preservation
restriction, to be held by the City of Northampton acting through its Historical
Commission, and developed with input of the Massachusetts Historical Commission, be
placed on the building.
