2007.03.26 Letter to NHA Jon Hite, Executive Director March 26, 2007 Northampton Housing Authority 49 Old South Street Northampton, MA 01060 RE: Northampton Affordable Housing Trust Fund/ Policy Changes Certification of Hathaway Farms Trust Fund Families Dear Mr. Hite; The Northampton Affordable Housing Trust met on March 15, 2007. The following decisions were made: The Trustees voted to continue to assist existing Trust households whose incomes fall below the income limits for participation. This exception practice will be extended to former and/or existing Trust fund families and will not be offered to new applicant families. The Trustees voted to have the Trust Fund cover seventy five percent (75%) of the rental increase that resulted from implementation of the 3/08/06 income limits, with the Trust household absorbing twenty five percent (25%) of the increase. The chart attached to this memo, as supplied by Hathaway Farms, depicts the Resident Portions and the Trust Portions of the rent. Please implement these changes immediately, as households recertify. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Contact me with any questions you may have, and thank you again so very much for your agency’s involvement in this project. Respectfully, Margaret Keller Housing and Community Development Planner
