I walk by the church very often, but having moved to Northampton just a few years ago, have no attachment to it as others may. Unless the developers will be turning the church into affordable housing, I am against assisting them with CPA funds. I realize “historic preservation” is among the proper uses of such funds, but I also think with limited funds, they should be spent to serve the greatest good. Spending them to help shore up the church for private, luxury development would benefit only a few. Simply being able to look at the church from the outside is a small benefit, even for those who wish so much that it be preserved. Thank you for you attention in this matter, Nora Brown 38 Henry Street Northampton MA 618 207 8197
