Dear Committee Members:
I am emailing to you my support of O'Connell Development Group's request for funding to save St. John Cantius
Church building from demolition. As a former member of St. John Cantius Church from 1969 to its closing in 2010, I
was very active. As a former member of its Finance Committee and Parish Council, we saw to its upkeep to this
beautiful structure which continues to stand out as a beautiful building in spite of being vacant since its closing.
St. John Cantius Church represents the valley as a proud symbol of the Polish Community, its heritage and the
contributions its members have provided to the city of Northampton over the many years. With your approval, this
beautiful church would become a permanent historic preservation. Thank you for your consideration. Robert A.
