The people purchasing the property whose back is to 88 Crescent are clearly intent on a money making venture: dividing up the current house on round hill rd. and building new development on the lawn facing Crescent St.
As others have stated, the houses on the west side of Crescent St. are all set back from the street with generous lawns. The construction proposed for 88 Crescent St. will do serious damage to the streetscape. No one profits from this, not the city, not the neighborhood, only the
owners.
(Further If the intent of the city council in allowing for fill-ins was to increase affordable housing, might we have a clause, in case the go-ahead is given,
that none of the units being developed should be sold for more than $250,000? In that way, we can be assured that this is not simply a destructive act as a money-making venture, but fulfills the intent of the council.)
