Description of the Proposed Project [24 CFR 50.12 & 58.32; 40 CFR 1508.25]:
The Grove Street Inn is a 21-bed (depending on returning to pre-pandemic capacity) emergency shelter serving homeless individuals. Participants may stay up to 90 days. Staff provide
on-site services that support residents' efforts to rebuild their lives. ServiceNet's Grove Street Inn, as stated in the amended 2020-2024 Northampton Consolidated Plan for the period
July 2020 to July 2021, ''will continue to administer its sheltering programs in all three counties and ... be a vital partner in the Coordinated Entry process for housing our homeless
neighbors.'' Sheltering and case management supports, offered by The Grove Street Inn, work towards meeting the needs identified in Northampton's Housing Needs Assessment and are
an integral part of its Strategic Housing Plan. The Grove Street Inn's efforts are also aligned with HUD's National Objectives. It is structured to serve low-income individuals and
has a system in place to ensure that those served fall into this category. The program is equipped to and invested in aiding participants in finding permanent housing. This improves
the quality of life for those served who find housing and this in turn opens spaces for others in need of shelter beds.
