Description of the Proposed Project [24 CFR 50.12 & 58.32; 40 CFR 1508.25]:
Center for New Americans offers free classes in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and support for immigrants seeking and applying for jobs. The program meets the HUD eligibility
guidelines because more than 85% of the immigrants we serve are low -income upon arrival. They rely on our classes and supports to build the language proficiency and acquire the confidence
to navigate U.S. systems and attain self-sufficiency.
