Hi Sarah,
I can't attend the meeting about the proposed bow hunting at Pine Grove, but I want to send along this email in support
of the proposal. I am a nearby resident who walks and skis the site regularly.
There are too many deer in that vicinity and I feel like their numbers will impact the restoration of the golf course as they
will consume too many desirable plants that we would like to have establish in the old fairways and we will instead be left
a low diversity invasive shrubland. Also, I think the current levels of deer are impacting the understory in the adjacent
forest as we can currently see long distances and there should be more shrubs and saplings. There are also high levels
of invasive plants colonizing the forest understory, another symptom of too many deer.
