Dear Ms. Misch,
We are writing to you in regard to the proposed building of a detached third unit at 172 North Street, Northampton by Michael Fisher.
Our house abuts their back yard. (We virtually have no back yard.)
Please let us begin by saying that Michael has been very forthcoming in regards to informing us of their intentions to build and showing
us proposed drawings of the building site. The reality of the new construction is the extending of the new building 18 feet beyond the
reach of the existing structure which would block at least one-third of the visibility from the back of our house (which has been in my
wife’s family for the better part of a century.) No one in our position would prefer that.
That being said, we do not know that we have any legal standing in this matter. We have written just to state the reality of the impact of
the potential construction.
