Atwood Drive Surplus Order April 8 2010

Upon the recommendation of the Office of Planning and Development and Councilor Angela Plassmann
WHEREAS, The City owns a small parcel of land (Map ID 39-62, see survey extract included herein) that the city owned when it was originally working with the Commonwealth to develop an
Ice Skating Rink on Atwood Drive and currently serves no City purpose; and
WHEREAS, Surplusing such land can put the land on the tax rolls and create economic development potential; and
WHEREAS, Said land is not part of the street and not necessary for road purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDERED
The City Council finds said parcel surplus and authorizes the Mayor to sell it, subject to a minimum price of $2,000 and such terms as the Mayor finds appropriate.
