Please share my correspondence with all Historical Commission members. I am writing about my concern about the lack of public notification to abutters to public meetings of demolition of buildings that could have historical merit. Right now there are two demolition projects proposed for Bay State Village in Florence, one, at 61 Warner, to construct three houses on the site, and another for 39 Landy. As there is no registry of significant buildings in Bay State, and no public notification to abutters of the public meeting, it is difficult to have the time or notice to do the required research to know what is being destroyed in our community. Just now another house on Riverside Dr (291) has gone up for sale. The pictures on Zillow show the plot being potentially subdivided into three lots, as is happening at several sites in Bay State Village I request that Northampton require public notification of any demption application, and notification to abutters of any demolition, with enough time before a hearing date that research and documentation can be prepared. Thank you for listening to my request. Mary Clark 183 Riverside Dr Florence, MA 01062
