back to normal
Whew! What a relief to read about scrapping the Main Street changes. It
was a great idea to redesign the street related to COVID business
challenges — in theory. But in practice, it failed miserably.
Quick access to local businesses was challenging to such a degree that I
totally stopped shopping in the city. The many added street elements
(planters, barriers, signage and street taping) made it almost impossible to
negotiate driving safely through the pedestrian-heavy area. Iʼm amazed
there werenʼt accidents. And the overall visual was chaotic — nothing was
integrated or orchestrated with a sense of visual appeal.

Thank you for seeing reason on this, Mr. Mayor. I look forward to shop in the
city once the “temporary changes” are eliminated.
