RE: Shared Use & Sidewalk Ramps Project
Dear Campora Construction,
Thank you so much for your bid and for your follow‐up when we did our bid due diligence.
I regret to have to inform you that we are rejecting your bid on this project for two reasons.
First, based on the references and the material you provided us in the bid and your follow up, we find
that your firm lacks the necessary experience to carry out this somewhat complex project. (Please see
MGL Chapter 30, Section 39M on lowest responsible and eligible bidder.)
Second, the front end loading of your bid by way of the safety plan requirement does not meet the
requirements. (Please see MassDOT 2020 Standard Specifications on Bids on unbalanced bids, discussed
in a couple of sections in those specifications.)
