Smith, Planner, on behalf of the Northampton Planning Board SUBJECT: Variance Request - Richard & Carolyn Kittredge DATE: January 29, 1986 FILE: At their meeting on January 23, 1986, the Northampton Planning Board reviewed the Variance request of Richard L. and Carolyn E. Kittredge for the purpose of subdividing a parcel into two lots one of which would be a nonconforming lot at Property located at 13 Spring Street, Leeds (URA Zone). After discussing the matter with the applicants and hearing the report of the site inspector, the Planning Board voted 5 -0 to recommend denial of the Variance request, as all of the criteria necessary to grant a Variance are not met,, specifically, items B, C and D on my attached memo. However, the Planning Board is in the process of developing a "Flag Lot" ordinance to which this application may qualify. The Board suggested that the applicants request the petition be held in abeyance until the Council has acted on this proposed zoning amendment.
