Tree # 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 From the significant tree bylaw: Replacement trees shall be non-invasive decidous trees (as defined by the Planning Board) on or off-site, as approved as part of a site plan or administrative site plan, so that for each inch of Diameter at Breast Height of the removed trees there shall be no less than one-half inch of Caliper Diameter of replacement trees. Replacement trees shall have a minimum of two inch Caliper Diameter Replacement trees shall be mainteained in good health a minimum of 24 months after they are planted as confiremd by the City's Tree Warden. If replacement trees are not found to be in "good health" as determined by the Tree Warden, the trees shall be replaced as directed by the Warden. Replacement trees shall either be Approved Street Tree Species as defined in the Rules and Regulations regarding subdivision of land or other trees that are hardy in all of the following USDA Plant Hardiness Zones: 6a, 6b, 7a, and 7b. There are twenty White Pine trees that are located either in the proposed four house lots or on the proposed driveway to be built. Four of those trees # 17 - 20 are located on house lot # 1. House lot # 1 also has a hazard tree that is not included in this survey but is over 20" in diameter.  It is half dead and should be removed. Trees # 1 - 16 are located along the driveway and lots # 2 - 4. Tree # 11, located in house lot # 2 is a hazard tree ( dead inside) and should be excluded from the count. Tree # 13 and Tree # 14 I think are inside of the buffer zone between House lot # 3 and lot # 4.  I think a clearer definition of the buffer zone is necessary to be certain?? They are close to the proposed driveway of lot #3 so would not be interfering with any heavy excavation for septic or foundation work. Tree # 16 is located on the North west corner of House lot # 4 and should be left as it's at the edge of the rear buffer zone and is at the opposite side of the yard from the proposed septic system. All of these twenty trees are Eastern White Pine and are marked with green tape and an additional white tape with the tree number on them. Trees # 11, 13, 14 ,16 have double green tape to help identify them. There are an additional five Eastern White Pine trees that are growing along the driveway, on the property line with the City property and the neighbor to the south.  These trees should be removed as their roots will be disturbed too much during excavation for either the driveway or the retention pond.  Because of the root disruption they could blow over easily in the right conditions in a storm and will likely suffer some sort of dieback as well. All of the city owned trees are marked with blue colored tape. There is also one White Oak, located at the end of the proposed driveway, that is on the city owned land piece right next to Glendale Road.  It is a "city shade tree" that would require a hearing before it is removed. It should be removed for the same reasons, too much root removal around it for the proposed retention pond. I hope this information is helpful and understandable. James
