The Connecticut River Greenway Gate is funding a gate to control illicit after‐hours access to the
Connecticut River Greenway.
To date:
1. In 2016, we determined that the city’s long term interest is best served if the city purchases the land
where the gate is going to be installed, instead of simply getting permission to install the gate. This
obviously slowed down the pace of the project.
2. In 2017, we determined the value of the property and began purchase negotiations.
Current Status
We hope to purchase the property and install the gate in 2018.
