Report No. 4, 8-21-17.docAugust 21, 2017 Restoration of Stained Glass Windows First Churches 129 Main Street Northampton, Massachusetts 01060 Construction Report No. 4, Status of Restoration: Visit to Stained Glass Resources, Inc. studio August 21, 2017 Present: Chuck Whitham, Project Mgr. Gregory Wilson, First Churches Stained Glass Window Restoration Committee Fred Shea, S.G.R., Owner. Work being done: Walk thru of studio: Disassembly and Cleaning Phase: Complete Conservation Phase: One craftsman presently on project Tiffany window: Multiple panels for different layers being restored and repaired as necessary and positioned on the appropriate cartoon – see photo below. Rose Window: Conservation is complete. Panels are presently stored on trays awaiting move to assembly Assembly Phase: One craftsman presently on project Tiffany Window: Four panels for different layers being assembled. Several panels are leaded and one has received putty. Rose Window: Trays have been queued for move to assembly. At the conclusion of this site visit Invoice #4, for 10% of the contracted price, was received from Stained Glass Resources, Inc. It has been reviewed and found acceptable and has been submitted to the church recommending payment. Stained Glass Resources, Inc. is currently anticipating scheduling of the Rose Window installation for September 2017. The Tiffany Window is expected to be complete and installed in October 2017.
