To Whom It May Concern:
As the director of ServiceNet Shelter and Housing and a 10 year employee in the Shelter and
Housing division in Northampton, I have become increasingly aware of the lack of facilities
available to the homeless youth in the Hampshire County area.
It was exciting to hear that Friends of Hampshire County Homeless Individuals would be
partnering with the youth agency DIAL/SELF to develop permanent housing for homeless youth,
and provide them with sufficient supportive services and individualized help.
I fully support this initiative and its goal to fill the gap for a very vulnerable segment of the
homeless population, and urge financial and community support for the program.
