Pursuant to Northampton Ordinance Chapter 27, notice is hereby given that a decision of the Committee has been filed in the City Clerk's Office on March 13, 2006. At the public hearing, the Central Business Architecture Committee voted to approve the following application: Alex Bykhovsky, for erection of a roof top structure and deck at 155 Main Street, Northampton Massachusetts. Map number 31D, Parcel 144. The request was approved with the conditions that (1) any exterior lighting be mounted on the interior of the (new)'parapet wall and directed below the parapet wall to the interior of the roof area, and that lighting on the interior of the structure be wall mounted sconces as proposed, and (2) that the (restaurant) vent exiting the roof not be greater than two feet higher than the new parapet wall. If anyone wishes to appeal this action, an appeal must be filed pursuant to Chapter 27, with the Office of Planning and Development on behalf of the Northampton Planning Board and notice of said appeal filed with the City Cleric within 21 days of the date that this decision was filed with the City Clerk. The decision is available for review in the Office of Planning and Development, City Hall, 210 Main Street, Northampton, MA. This serves as a CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS with the condition that all work be done in accordance with the description provided by the applicant and with the following conditions (if any): El There is a unique hardship under the City Council Ordinance Chapter 27 adopted October 7, 1999. If, within 14 days, the Applicant does not modify their project as detailed below, this shall also serve as a disapproval of a Certificate of Appropriateness. If, within 14 days, the Applicant addresses the reasons for denial, modifies their project as detailed and files these modifications with the Office of Planning and Development for review by the Committee, the Committee shall, within a reasonable time period, issue a Certificate of Appropriateness and a Central Business Architecture Permit will be granted. Permit is not valid until the Determination is recorded at the Registry of Deeds. Please call the City Clerk's office at (413) 587 -1224 prior to picking up your certified copy. Proof that the decision has been filed at the Registry of Deeds must be brought to the Building Department, before a Building Permit will be issued.
