Playgrounds at Florence Recreation Fields & Lampron Park
CPA Update Report
The Playground at Florence Recreation Fields (Spring St., Florence) and Lampron
Park (Bridge St., Northampton) funded construction and addition of play and park
structures at both locations.
The total project cost is $250,000. The CPA grant is funding $50,000, or 19.6 percent
of the cost. A State Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs Division of
Conservation Services (DCS) grant, “Our Common Backyards Program” is funding
$200,000 of the project.
The CPA grant funded the design and some of the construction of the
playgrounds.
The majority of the project is complete, with remaining CPA funds expected to be
expended in Spring 2015. The Spring weather will allow for installation of the new
light posts along the sidewalk at Lampron Park, as well as additional play structures.
