2014 Annual Report Access to Housing Initiative Project Report for period 9/25/13 to 9/30/14 During the period, ServiceNet requested and received $5,000 from the City of Northampton under the terms of this CPA-funded contract [120-14]. ServiceNet provided loans to homeless individuals as follows: $ 379.00 -- Used for first month’s rent for housing on High St., Florence $ 1,080.00 -- Used for first & last month’s rent, and security deposit for housing on Summer St., Northampton $ 387.00 -- Used for first month’s rent for housing on Pleasant St., Northampton $ 430.00 -- Used for first month’s rent for housing on Maple St., Northampton $ 1,110.00 -- Used for first & last month’s rent for housing on Maple St., Northampton $ 233.00 -- Used for first month’s rent for housing on Conz St., Northampton Total loans provided during the year: $ 3,619.00. The remaining $1,381 from the original City disbursement was loaned out during October, 2014. All six of the individuals who received loans during the period are still housed in the sites for which they received the loan, so in this sense, the initiative has been a success. Only two of the individuals have made loan repayments as promised and we are working on collections, while being careful to maintain their ability to pay future rents.
