JSS Playground Committee:
I am pleased to provide this proposal for design services concerning the improvements to the ‘Ms. Agna
Playground.’ Especially since I have two boys who attend the school, I look forward to working with the
Committee to develop a plan which will benefit the entire JSS community. The scope of services
follows:
1. Base Information
• Inventory of existing site conditions including basic measurements, play equipment,
seating areas, plantings, surfacing, generalized topography and surrounding context.
(Field topographic/detail survey is not included.)
• Prepare a base plan utilizing CAD, aerial imagery and/or City GIS data.
• Assess existing circulation, solar access, safety concerns, function and play quality.
2. Plan synthesis
• Review current work to date focusing on accessibility, circulation, siting of play
equipment, safety issues, etc.
• Attend Committee meetings as related to the scope of services; discuss concerns and
expectations for the improvements with the committee.
• Modify current plan as required or develop alternative design scheme(s) for the
committee to review.
• Interface with play equipment representatives to obtain technical information, as may
be required for plan preparation.
3. Master Plan
• Prepare a master plan which reflects the consensus of the Committee, made available
in digital (PDF) format and as a 24x36” presentation board(s). This shall be a color-
rendered plan view drawing describing general layout and materials, and may include
manufacturer’s perspective imagery and other sketches. (Illustrative plan only;
specifications and bid/construction documents are not included.)
Professional services fee for the above services is $1600.00, but will be offered at a discounted sum of
$800.00. I look forward to hearing from you.

This proposal may be withdrawn if not accepted within 60 days. Unless described and included above, out-of town
travel @$0.56/mile, night meetings in excess of 2 @$50/hr., and actual printing costs shall be reimbursable.
