The purpose of this form is to make sure that all project applications applying for Community
Preservation Act funding are eligible for funding. Please refer to Appendix-E in the
Community Preservation Plan when filling out this form. This form must be approved in
order for an application to be accepted.

Project Summary: Please provide a brief description of the project.
The purpose is to implement stewardship of the Connecticut River Greenway—Elwell
Section. Specifically, 1) remove invasive plants, 2) do site preparation to develop a small
(1-2 acre) community gardens adjacent to the existing farmland to serve River Run
Condominiums. Currently, the existing gardens in Northampton and Florence serve the
city’s needs for those with easy vehicle access. CPA funding will also work as a match
for a community forest stewardship grant that has already been received.
