Upon noting that there was no general public comment, David Bloomberg opened the request
for the special Permit for additional signs for Saga Communications at 15 Hampton Avenue.
Steve Silverman, representing the applicant presented the project noting the desire to incorporate the third
radio station logo onto the building. The existing sign would be repurposed and included in the signage
that would result in a 13% increase in overall wall coverage.
David Bloomberg noted that the original permit had conditions for the lights to be turned off at 11 PM.
Elizabeth Silver confirmed that the light is not internal.
Mark Lattanzi, for Saga Communications described the station’s growth.
Sara Northrup noted support of application and reuse of signs.
Upon motion by Elizabeth Silver and second by Malcolm Smith, the Board voted unanimously to close
the hearing.
Upon motion by Malcolm Smith and second by Elizabeth Silver, the Board voted unanimously to approve
the special permit with the condition that the lights be turned off by 11 pm noting the approval includes
the third sign with a third gooseneck.
Upon motion by Elizabeth Silver and second by Malcolm Smith the Board voted unanimously to approve
the minutes of June 13 and June 22.
Upon motion by Elizabeth Silver and second by Malcolm Smith the Board adjourned at
5:46 PM
