Upon noting that there was no general public comment, David Bloomberg opened the request
for the special Permit for Home Business at 470 Bridge Rd, Florence.
Loretta Kane, proprietor of the hair salon described the request to open an appointment only salon in a
detached structure at her home.
She noted there would be a maximum of 5 clients per day between 9 AM and 8 PM.
Malcolm Smith asked about the accessory dwelling that was previously approved.
She stated that this would replace that space.
Smith asked about signs.
Kane noted that she would keep the signs within the existing provisions of the ordinance.
There was no public comment.
Upon motion by Elizabeth Silver and second by Malcolm Smith, the board voted unanimously to close
the hearing.
Upon motion by Elizabeth Silver and second by Malcolm Smith, the board voted unanimously to approve
the permit with the condition that the sue replaces the accessory dwelling and that 1 sign of 1 sf maximum
be posted on the wall and it not be illuminated. The Board also conditioned that there be 5 clients per day
as noted in the application with the hours as noted.
