The Smith Charities building was built by the famous William Fenno Pratt and was finished in 1869. Several years ago Smith Charities did the important work to the exterior of the building of scalling, pinpointing, etc. and the roof has been maintained. Needed however, are a possible second egress to the building and the electrical and heating /plumbing systems need to be repaired or replaced. Smith Charities invests the funds in local mortgages, and as you know interest rates are at an historic low, and as a result so is our income.
