Use as much space as necessary to complete the following entries, allowing text to flow onto additional continuation sheets. ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION: Describe architectural features. Evaluate the characteristics of this building in terms of other buildings within the community. This is a two-and-a-half story gable-and-wing house that originally was Queen Anne in style but has lost much of its stylistic character due to alterations. The gable section of the house is three bays wide and has a side-hall entry behind a full-width, hipped roof porch on replacement posts. There is an angled bay window on the south elevation. The wing is three bays long and and has a partially enclosed porch across its east façade. The porch posts of the wing have also been replaced. The vinyl-sided house has a slate roof with a chimney in each section. HISTORICAL NARRATIVE Discuss the history of the building. Explain its associations with local (or state) history. Include uses of the building, and the role(s) the owners/occupants played within the community. From Form B of 1980: “In 1882, Sylvester White bought a small lot of land on North Maple Street for $275.
