space as necessary to complete the following entries, allowing text to flow onto additional continuation sheets. ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION: Describe architectural features. Evaluate
the characteristics of this building in terms of other buildings within the community. This is a two-and-a-half story Colonial Revival style home that is square in form with a truncated
hipped roof. On the frontward facing slope of the roof is a shed roof dormer and on the western slope of the roof is a hipped roof dormer. Typical of early Colonial Revival style homes,
the house uses shingling to emphasize a shallow second story jetty. In addition there is a two story story pedimented bay on the eastern elevation of the home. A one-story porch with
low hipped roof porch extends westerly from the two story bay and wraps half way around to the western side. Characteristic of Colonial Revival style porches, the porch has rounded columns
and a balustrade with square balusters. Next to the front entry is a large picture window. Some of the windows on the house are six over one sash while others are one over one sash metal
replacements. In addition there are some paired six over one sash and one over one sash windows. Windows all have flat stock surrounds. Since the house was first inventoried in 1980,
the home has lost its decorative roof balustrade. The property includes a circa 1930 garage. HISTORICAL NARRATIVE Discuss the history of the building. Explain its associations with local
(or state) history. Include uses of the building, and the role(s) the owners/occupants played within the community. In 1895 Estella Graves, the widow of Dwight Graves, sold E. Cyrus
Miller this lot on High St. (now known as Lyman Rd.). Mr. Graves and his partner Silas Cooley had bought all of the land on the north side of High Street in 1881. Both of them lived
on the street, and the rest of the land was sold off as homestead lots. In 1897 Isaac Bridgeman bought this same lot from Mr. Miller, with no house mentioned in the deed. The 1900 directory
