the characteristics of this building in terms of other buildings within the community. This is a relatively simple Queen Anne house one-and-a-half stories in height under a front-gable
roof. It has a cross-gable bay on the east elevation and a one-and-a-half story ell on the north. The house is two bays wide and has a full-width porch under a hipped roof that is supported
on turned posts with brackets at the eaves. The roof eaves are thinly boxed and do not make returns. The most notable feature of the house is a copper-roofed, arched hood above a side
entry on the west elevation. It has trellised supports and adds considerable visual interest to the house. HISTORICAL NARRATIVE Discuss the history of the building. Explain its associations
with local (or state) history. Include uses of the building, and the role(s) the owners/occupants played within the community. This house was late to be built on High Street, after 1895,
