Evaluate the characteristics of this building in terms of other buildings within the community. This is a large-scale, Queen Anne style house that is two-and-a-half stories in height under a front-gabled roof. It has a transverse gable on the north elevation and a two-and-a-half story ell on the west. The vinyl-sided house is three bays wide and has a wrap around porch on chamfered posts with quarter circle brackets at the eaves and high impost blocks. The porch railings have turned balusters. There is a three-sided bay window on the south elevation of the main block of the building and a side porch on the north elevation of the ell. A pair of windows is located in the façade gable and other windows in the house have 1/1 and 2/2 sash. HISTORICAL NARRATIVE Discuss the history of the building. Explain its associations with local (or state) history. Include uses of the building, and the role(s) the owners/occupants played within the community.
