1 /V1 IEREAS, an application for Community . Preservation Act funding was received by
the CPC from the Leeds.Civic Association and Northampton DPVV for an
engineering study of the Hotel Bridge.
WHEREAS, the project will help to preserve an important historical, coinrnunity and.
recreational resource.
WHEREAS, the .project has received support from the Historical Commission and the
Leeds community.
WHEREAS, the project is a cooperation between a City Department and neighborhood
association.
WHEREAS, on May 4, 2011, the Northampton Cornrnunity Preservation. Committee,
voted unanimously to recommend $35,000 in Community Preservation Act
funds be used to support this project.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDERED,
That $35,000 be appropriated from Community Preservation Act funding to the
Northampton DPW and Leeds Civic Association. And, that the grantee meets the'
conditions approved by the Conununi.ty Preservation Committee, the Mayor, and City
Council.
Specifically, $35,000 is appropriated from the CPA Historic Preservation Reserve
(account #2344930- 359932).
