O rdered. tout WHEREAS, an application for Community Preservation Act funding was received by the CPC from Grow Food Northampton for development of Community Gardens. WHEREAS, the project will continue development of the Bean /Allard farms. WHEREAS, the project serves more than one CPA program area. WHEREAS, CPA funds have already supported acquisition of the land for this project. WHEREAS, the project meets the -goals of the Northampton Sustainability Plan in contributing to healthy recreational opportunities for our citizens. WHEREAS, the project has received widespread community support. WHEREAS, on May 4, 2011, the Northampton Coinrnunity Preservation Coi voted unanimously to recommend $104,500 in Community Preservation Act funds be used to support this project. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDERED, That $1.04,500 be appropriated from Community Preservation Act funding to Grow Food Northampton, And, that the grantee meets the conditions approved by the Corrununity Preservation Committee, the Mayor, and City Council. Specifically, $104,500 is appropriated from the CPA Budgeted Reserve (account #2344930 - 359930).
