01060, a Massachusetts Limited Liability Corporation ( "Grantor ")
In consideration of One Dollar ($1.00);
Grant to the City of Northampton, a municipal corporation whose address is 210 Main Street,
Room 11, Northampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, 01060 ( "CITY "),
with Quitclaim Covenants;
A 1,170± square foot parcel of land ( "LAND ") on South Street and Hebert Avenue in-
Northampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, further described as:
"Parcel A" on a survey entitled "Plan of Land in Northampton, MA, Hampshire Registry,
Prepared for the City of Northampton Office of Planning and Development" signed by
Daniel F. Stasz, RLS, Northeast Survey Consultants, dated January 11, 2011 and recorded
in the Hampshire Registry of Deeds at Plan Book 224, Page 80;
Said LAND shall may be used and regarded to improve bicycle, pedestrian, and vehicle safety on
Hebert Avenue; The CITY covenants, however, that if the CITY regrades any of the LAND to
slopes steeper than 20% the CITY shall plant shrubbery on the easterly side of such slopes over
20% at sufficient density to provide protection against people accidently slipping on such slopes;
Being a portion of the property conveyed to the Grantors by deed dated May 31, 2001 and
recorded in the Hampshire Registry of Deeds in Book 6227, Page 290.

from South Street to the Manhan Rail Trail by improving line of site and the
opportunity for pedestrian and bicycle improvements:.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDERED
City Council authorizes the Mayor to accept deeds and easements for land adjacent to Hebert Avenue
to provide access from South Street to the lA�anhan Rail Trail for open space, bicycle, and pedestrian
