Member Elizabeth Silver, Associate Member Staff:  Senior Planner, Carolyn Misch Planning Director, Wayne Feiden Colleen O’Connor/Michele St.Pierre for a 4:07 P.M. David Bloomberg opened the request by Finding to expand a pre-existing non-conforming side setback at 17 Trumbull Rd, Map Id 31B- 151. Colleen O’Connor , 9 Orchard St presented application noting that this was for a building they purchased earlier in 2010 as a 4 unit. Since that time they’ve converted to condos and sold 3 of thrd the units. Project entails opening up 4 unit roof on 3 floor in the rear. Karen Pohlman, 17 Park Ave raised concern about lack of personal notice from the applicant and about reduction in privacy from expansion, particularly with the proposed deck. Jeff Gutterman, 17 Park Ave asked for clarification about expansion. The applicant presented photos with sketch up of the expansion. David Bloomberg noted that based on his site visit and viewing of the pictures this was a relatively minor expansion compared to the existing size of the structure and asked if the deck were the main concern. Pohlman indicated that it was. There was discussion of the deck and possible impacts Krisen Day, 17 Trumbull (condo unit owner) spoke in favor of the project. David Bloomberg closed the hearing and issued the finding noting that it was a minor addition with a roof line lower than the existing primary roof line. 4:50 Adjourn
