SECTION 8
NON- CONFORMING'USE

1. Any building or part of a building or premises, which at the
time of•the adoption of this by -law is being put to a non - conforming
use, may continue to be used for the same purpose.
2. Any business in operation at the time this Ordinance is passed
may expand with the permission of the Building Inspector.
3. Any non - conforming use may be changed to another non- conform-
ing use or any non - conforming building may be rebuilt or repairs on
permit from the Board of Appeals, such new use or reconstructed build-
ing not to be substantially different in .character or more detrimental
or objectionable to the neighborhood.
�. -Whenever a non - conforming use has been changed to a more
restricted or conforming use it shall not again be changed to a less
restricted use.
�. When any non- conforming use has been discontinued for a
period of two (2) years it shall not be re- established, and future use
shall be in conformity with this ordinance.
SECTION 9
AREA YARD AND HEIGHT REGULATIONS

1. LOT SIZE
No dwelling shall be erected in a residence A, B or C district on
a lot less than sixty (60) feet wide except that narrower lots shown
on any deed recorded in the Registry of Deeds previous to the time this
ordinance was adopted may be built on, provided that all requirements
in regard to yards are fulfilled.
2. FRONT YARDS
In a residence " A " district, no building shall be built less than
twenty (20) feet from the street line provided that no major building

ings built thereon.
In a residence "B" and residence "C" district no building shall
be built less than fif teen (15) feet from the street line and no ac-
cessory� building less than twenty (20) feet from the street line, pro-
vided that no major building need be set back more than the average
of the.setbacks of the buildings on the next lots on either side if
both these lots have major buildings built thereon.
In the case of corner lots each street line must be considered.
3. SIDE YARDS
In a residential district no buildin , except a one -story acces-
sory building, shall be built within ten �10) feet of a side lot line.
In any.other district no building of more than one story shall be
built within six (6) feet of any lot line unless its roof• and the wall
nearest the lot line have fire resistant outer coverings.
