22.067 An Order to Alter the Layout of a Portion of Parsons Street, Union Street, Pomeroy Terrace, Hawley Street, and Holyoke Street
WHEREAS, The City has received funding for a Bridge Street School Safe Routes to School project, providing sidewalk and crosswalk improvements on Parsons Street, Union Street, Bridge
Street, Pomeroy Terrace, Hawley Street, and Holyoke Street.
WHEREAS, The program requires that the City alter the layout of certain ways and acquire the necessary easements needed to approve such alteration.
WHREAS, An Order of Taking has been filed herewith for the acquisition of the necessary permanent and temporary easements for the alteration of the ways.
NOW, THEREFORE:
Ordered, that
City Council hereby alters layout of the ways as shown on a plan (three sheets) entitled, “Street Alteration and Easement Plan, Plan of Land in Northampton, MA Prepared for the City
of Northampton," dated March 3, 2022 (“the plan”), as follows:
Parsons Street: By adding to the layout thereof parcels E-1 through E-9, inclusive, and easement E-11, all as shown on the plan, and by discontinuing a portion of the layout shown on
sheet 2 of the plan as “Discontinued Area City of Northampton Area About: 192 S.F.”
North Street: By adding to the layout thereof parcel E-1 as shown on the plan.
Highland Avenue: By adding to the layout thereof parcels E-2 and E-3 as shown on the plan.
Walnut Street: By adding to the layout thereof parcel E-6 as shown on the plan.
Cherry Street: By adding to the layout thereof parcels E-9 as shown on the plan.
