21.319 AN ORDINANCE TO REQUIRE INSTALLATION OF EV CHARGING STATIONS IN PARKING
LOTS OVER 25 SPACES
An Ordinance of the City of Northampton, Massachusetts, providing that the Code of Ordinances, City of
Northampton, Massachusetts, be amended to require installation of Electric Vehicle Charging stations and
supporting conduit in parking lots larger than 25 spaces.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Northampton, in City Council assembled, as follows:
Add New Subsections to Chapter 350-8.9 as follows
I. For new or expanded parking lots that result in the provision of 25 or more spaces, one electric
vehicle charging space per 15 parking spaces shall be installed.
