Re: Petition for Joint or Identical Pole Locations No. 30025210
National Grid is proposing to install two (2) Jointly Owned Poles on Burts Pit Road: one
approximately 1,023 feet east from the centerline of the intersection with Woods Road, and one
approximately 229 feet east from that pole, as staked. A site visit was conducted on April 26,
2021 with the developer and a National Grid representative to discuss the proposed work as well
as to determine the field location of the proposed poles in relation to the existing water and sewer
stubs to the properties. The existing water valves and sewer cleanouts were field located and
marked by the Water Division and the Sewer & Drain Division, respectively.
The proposed location of pole #72-50 is six (6) feet from the existing water service line. The
proposed location of pole #71-50 is five (5) feet from the existing water service line. The poles
are located more than five (5) feet from existing sewer service lines and more than ten (10) feet
from the existing water main, drain pipes, sewer main, and manhole structures. The poles should
therefore be set at the staked locations and there will be no utility conflicts.
There are no trees in the vicinity of the proposed poles and no apparent interference of trees with
proposed overhead wires.
A valid "Excavation/Trench Permit" issued by the DPW is required prior to construction.
