Many years ago (40?), I trained and worked in special education. More recently, helping a friend with ALS, I became recommitted to this work. I am close to completing ADA Coordinator certiﬁcation, manage a Facebook page featuring accessibility aids for adults who acquire disabilities from aging and/or illness, and am certiﬁed to provide support to caregivers as well. My interest in the Disability Commission would be to learn more about the challenges the city and its residents face in this area as well as to contribute my knowledge and experience.
