O-18.016 AN ORDER TO AMEND THE COUNCIL RULES Ordered, that the following amendment to the Rules be adopted: 2.6.1.3. COMMITTEE on CITY SERVICES AND PUBLIC WORKS 2.6.1.3.1. The Committee may develop, review and recommend policies on matters including public safety and public health, veteran’s affairs, social services, libraries, disability, aging, and recreation, infrastructure and public works, among others. 2.6.1.3.2. The Committee shall serve as the standing committee to review all candidates for appointment to boards and commission in accordance with Section 2-10 of the Charter. 2.6.1.3.3. The Committee shall consist of four Councilors. 2.6.1.3.4. Related departments, boards and agencies: Parks and Recreation; Veteran’s Services; Council on Aging / Senior Services; Forbes and Lilly Libraries; Police; Fire Rescue; Health Department; Board of Health Parking Enforcement; Information Technology; Public Safety Communications; Emergency Management; Building Commissioner.; Department of Public Works; Central Services. 2.6.1.3.5. The Committee may hold public hearings on water, sewer, stormwater and other municipal utility rates. 2.6.1.5. COMMITTEE on PUBLIC WORKS AND UTILITIES 2.6.1.5.1. The Committee may develop, review and recommend policies on matters including public works, streets, infrastructure, solid waste, water treatment, buildings and all utilities including water, sewer and stormwater. 2.6.1.5.2. The Committee may hold public hearings on water, sewer, stormwater and other municipal utility rates. 2.6.1.5.3. The Committee shall consist of four Councilors. 2.6.1.5.4. Related departments, boards and agencies: Department of Public Works; Central Services; Building Commissioner.
