We also want a copy of the plot plan that was approved by the planning board. We'll need water and sewer connection approvals from the DPW if you plan on making new connections. You'll need to have a licensed construction supervisor for this job; the homeowner exemption doesn't apply to manufactured buildings (see below). The plans are too small to review; can you provide an electronic set? We'll need them. Some of these questions may be answered by plans that are easier to read. It isn't clear if the smoke and CO detector locations meet code. It isn't clear if the building meets the solar-ready requirements of the code (roof loads and electrical accomodations) The plans don't show an emergency escape opening in the basement. I don't see the kind of foundation plans and attachment spec sheets we're used to seeing for modular homes We may have other questions after we see the electronic plans. Let me know if you have questions. 110.R5.1.3.1: Any homeowner performing work for which a building permit is required shall be exempt from the licensing provisions of 780 CMR 110.R5, provided that if a homeowner engages a person(s) for hire to do such work, then such homeowner shall act as supervisor. This exception shall not apply to the field erection of a manufactured buildings constructed pursuant to 780 CMR 110.R3.
