Below please find the results of my onsite evaluation of the stand of red elm trees and maple trees. The trees are growing along the west property line on the abutting property. The
trees are over forty years old and range from good to poor condition.
The individual trees are listed below starting at the south end continuing to the edge of Burts Pit Road on the north side.
24” diameter red elm with large deadwood. It leans heavily toward the building on the abutting property. The tree is in good condition.
22” red elm tree heavily leaning toward the building on the abutting property. The tree is in good condition.
A 7” diameter sugar maple is declining and in fair condition.
A 12” diameter red elm tree has a poorly formed crown and is declining and in fair condition.
A 12” diameter red elm has large deadwood and is declining and in fair condition.
An 8” diameter red elm has a decayed trunk and is declining and in fair condition.
A 5” diameter sugar maple is declining and in fair condition.
A 7” red elm tree with a decayed trunk is in poor condition.
A 9” diameter red elm tree has a severely storm damaged crown and is in poor condition.
A 13” diameter red elm has compressive tissue damage in the crown is in fair condition.
A 10” sugar maple with extensive trunk decay is in poor condition.
A 10” red elm with a deformed crown is in fair condition.
A 5” sugar maple is declining and in fair condition.
An 18” diameter red elm with large deadwood is in good condition.
A 10” diameter red elm is in good condition.
A 6” diameter sugar maple is declining and in fair condition.
A 14” diameter red elm has a storm damaged crown and is in poor condition.
An 11” diameter red elm is dead.
A 13” diameter red elm with a deformed crown is in fair condition.
An 8” diameter red elm with a weak crown is in fair condition.
A 9” diameter red elm with a heavy lean is in good condition.
A 10” diameter red elm with a heavy lean is in good condition.
A 7” diameter sugar maple is declining and in fair condition.
A 5” diameter sugar maple is declining and in fair condition.
A 15” diameter red elm with a deformed crown is in fair condition.
A 16” diameter red elm with a heavy lean is in fair condition.
A 7” diameter sugar maple is declining and in fair condition.
A 16” diameter red elm with a deformed crown is in fair condition.
A 14” diameter red elm is in good condition.
A 17” diameter red elm with a heavy lean is in fair condition.
A 5” diameter sugar maple is declining and in fair condition.
A 5” sugar maple is dead.
A 7” diameter Norway maple is in good condition.
The overall condition of the trees listed is average for trees their ages that have received minimal arboricultural care or maintenance.
Several of the trees have broken leaders that indicates structural weakness in the trees.
