Dear CPC members,
Thank you for approving our proposed clarification of eligible costs under the Broad Brook Gap CPA
allocation at your December 19, 2012 meeting. You asked that I follow up with a written record.
The Conservation
Commission identified four
parcels, or inholdings,
adjacent to Broad Brook in
the middle of what
ecologically should be the
Broad Brook‐Fitzgerald Lake
Greenway (“Broad Brook
Gap”).
The Commission’s application
for CPA funds was acquisition
and soft costs to purchase
the Broad Brook Gap, but the
application only discussed
the Kubosiak purchase. Your
approved clarification allows
us to use the allocated funds
for the acquisition and soft
costs of the Kubosiak and any
of the other three Broad
Brook Gap parcels.
