Jeff and Peter reviewed options for making the existing Office Area lavatory compliant in the future – can diminish the closet under the stairs in order to install a 3' door to the lavatory and maintain 18” clearance to wall on the knob side. The stair angle will be low. Can also add compliant grab bars in the lavatory. The middle bay purlin for the former garage overhead door will be relocated up in order to install windows in Bob's office. There was a steel strap bolted to the ridge area and welded to the purlin which will be cut and reattached to the purlin in the higher location; this strap was probably for the overhead door motor, but will increase rigidity. 11 February – Rob, Chad progress is good; walls and floors framed; some electrical in existing wall patching underway 26 February – Moran heating wall framing seems complete electrical seems complete installations good 1 March – followup on emails and conversation with Alex - the building's separation on the two sides (South and East) with exterior doors is in excess of 30' to property line and only less than 30' at rear (North), approx. 25' thus no exterior doors require fire protection and the north wall will contain approx. 10% glazing (Table 705.8 max. 70%) the interior bearing walls have been constructed in the former center South room to be 1 hr protected with 5/8” Type X gypsum wallboard which is returned to the CMU walls to maintain the existing passage doors in the CMU walls. The support assembly is intact and protected; the steel doors will not be changed. The insulation will be augmented as outlined by Alex who will be attentive to the heating envelope (assumed to be the building perimeter) 15 march – various sheetrockers on site additional foam insulation added to underside of roof sheetrock underway OSB/Advantek for strength around stair structure and center room bearing walls
