2018_0504 Monthly Report - MARCH CONTROLLED CONSTRUCTION SUMMARY: MARCH 2018 PROJECT NAME/LOCATION: LIVE 155/155 Pleasant St ARCHITECT’S PROJECT #: 201420 DATE ISSUED: 05/04/2018 ESTIMATED % COMPLETION: 95% SCHEDULE CONFORMANCE: YES PRESENT ON SITE: Peter Makrauer - LDa, Douglas Dick – LDa, Peter Frothingham – PFRA I) WORK IN PROGRESS: · Rain screen fiber cement panel installation is almost complete · Forbo flooring and tile installations are ongoing · Unit finish work is ongoing · Finish site work is ongoing · Dumpster enclosure work is underway II) OBSERVATIONS: · Appliance installation is near completion · All units are near completion and ready for punch list · Exterior elevations are near completion and ready for punch list · Site appears to be managed well, safety protocols are emphasized & enforced by GC · First floor retail space is the current location for all regular job meetings · Work appears to be completed in accordance with plans and specifications III) ANTICIPATED WORK IN THE NEXT 4 WEEKS · Finish installation of FCP panels · Install missing cabinets and replace warped doors · Continue all finish work · Create punch list of all units and common spaces IV) INFORMATION/ACTION REQUIRED: · None at this time NOTE: WEEKLY CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY SUMMARIES & PROJECT SCHEDULE UPDATES ARE INCLUDED WITH THIS DOCUMENT. Pre-liminary punchlisting activities Complete: 4th floor & exterior 2. Roof: final crane day 03.12, cleaned off the roof 3. Fall Protection System: Testing & Training completed 03.15 4. Site work: poured curved path, started excavation for bike shelter & dumpster enclosure 5. DAFS: prep work is complete, ceiling areas tented for heat 6. Rain Screen: Significant progress below 12’ band on South, West & North Elevations 7. Store Front: air & water testing: passed air, failed water 8. Fire Alarm pre-testing complete on 3rd & 4th floors 9. Appliances: 30 units installed, 4th & 3rd floor laundries installed 10. Solid Surface: almost complete on 3rd & 2nd 11. Forbo: repairs complete on 4th & 3rd. Installing flooring in Corridors & Lobbies. Expect to be complete on 2nd through 4th floor by the end of the week. 12. Room Entry Doors & Hardware are getting installed 13. Working with the city on CO – hardscape must be complete GOALS 1. 1st Floor Flooring: make a decision on the path forward (Forbo vs Kinetex product) 2. Store Front: water re-testing improved: passed AMMA, failed ASTM (1 location only) 5. Slab at Retail: poured 03.26 6. Charging unit mini-splits: ¾ of 4 & ½ of 3 complete 7. 2nd, 3rd, & 4th floor units: pre-punchlisting 8. Public Restrooms: installing bath accessories 9. Appliances: 60 units installed, 2nd thru 4th floor laundries installed 10. Forbo: working on punchlist repairs 11. Way Finder Open House for affordable units on 03.22 & 03.24 GOALS 1. FCP: complete installation of materials on site, prep remaining areas & place final order 2. Finish all work requiring lifts a. Clean FCP b. Washing windows & installing screens 3. Cabinets: install missing cabinets, get replacements for all warped doors 4. 1st Floor Flooring: installation of Kinetex to start Wednesday 5. Final Plumbing Inspections: 2 hr block this week 6. 1st Floor Ceiling Electrical Inspections: this week 7. Public Restrooms: complete installation of bath accessories & partitions 8. Won-Door installation later this week 9. Smoke Curtains arriving 04.09 10. Design Team priorities: a. A/D: review documents produced to date. Issue memo. b. Stormwater O&M Plan (GZA): must be signed by mayor & recorded c. Plan for granite seat walls/transition at Hampton Court d. Louis Hasbrouck requested info for CO i. CBAC approved drawings: 2016 update ii. Lighting Plans from PB approval (A109 & A209 dated 10/14/2014) & certification by design engineer that it meets the plans iii. Architectural punch list w/ final inspections by MEPS (in XLS format) iv. Completion affidavits by all disciplines v. Letter of substantial completion
