1. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OTHER WORK THAT IS SHOWN IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS THAT IS NOT SPECIFICALLY IDENTIFIED TO BE THAT OF A SUB-CONTRACTOR;
INCLUDING ALL WORK THAT IS SHOWN IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, THAT IS NOT IDENTIFIED AS BEING ANY CONTRACTOR'S SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITY. THE SCOPE OF THE WORK OF THE
SUB-CONTRACTOR'S ARE IDENTIFIED IN THEIR INDIVIDUAL SPECIFICATION SECTIONS.
2. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE-BARRICADES, TEMPORARY LIGHTS, TEMPORARY TELEPHONE SERVICE, AND CLEAN-UP SERVICE TO THE WORK AREA.
3. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR WILL VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS AND CONDITIONS AT THE JOB SITE PRIOR TO PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR WILL COORDINATE WORK
ACCORDINGLY WITH ALL SUBCONTRACTORS AND THE OWNER.
4. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COMPLETE AND THOROUGH CLEAN-UP AT THE END OF THE JOB, AND FOR DAILY REMOVAL OF CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS AND CLEAN-UP.
5. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR WILL PERFORM MINOR SPACKLING AND REPAIRS TO EXISTING WALLS THROUGHOUT THE WORK AREA AS IS REQUIRED IN PREPARATION FOR NEW FINISHES.
6. IT WILL BE THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO VERIFY AND EXECUTE ALL WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH MASSACHUSETTS BUILDING CODE, 8TH EDITION, WITH ALL OF ITS REFERENCED
PUBLICATIONS AND ALL OTHER APPLICABLE STATE, FEDERAL, AND LOCAL CODES AND REGULATIONS.
7. IT WILL BE THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO SEE THAT ALL WORK PERFORMED IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION'S LIFE SAFETY CODE (N.F.P.A.-101,
CURRENT EDITION).
8. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INITIATING, MAINTAINING, AND SUPERVISING ALL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND PROGRAMS NECESSARY FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE WORK, AND AS
REQUIRED BY THE OWNER.
9. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE THE OWNER WITH INSURANCE CERTIFICATES FOR THE REQUIRED INSURANCE PRIOR TO STARTING THE WORK.
10. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR WILL FILE FOR AND SECURE ALL APPROVALS, PERMITS, AND CERTIFICATES OF COMPLIANCE AS REQUIRED.
11. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL FULLY COMPLY WITH OWNER'S "INTERIM LIFE SAFETY POLICY" DURING THE ENTIRE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD.

2.WIRING
A.ALL WIRING SHALL MATCH EXISTING BUILDING STANDARD UNLESS SPECIFICALLY

& MASS ELECTRIC CODE. ALL WIRING TO BE RUN CONCEALED. IN MOST CASE NEW LIGHTS
SHOWN ARE TO BE CONNECTED TO EXISTING CIRCUITS IN THE AREA.
1. WIRING FOR CIRCUITS INDICATED TO BE CONNECTED TO THE EMERGENCY SYSTEM
SHALL BE KEPT ENTIRELY INDEPENDENT OF OTHER WIRING AND SHALL NOT ENTER THE
SAME RACEWAY, BOX, CABINET, ETC. WITH OTHER WIRING. A SEPARATE WIRE AND

8.FIRESTOPPING
A.THE INTEGRITY OF FIRE-RATED WALLS AND FLOORS, WHERE PENETRATIONS ARE MADE
FOR THE PASSAGE OF CONDUIT, CABLES, ETC., MUST BE MAINTAINED.
1. ALL PENETRATIONS MUST BE SLEEVED AND FIRE STOPPED WITH MATERIALS THAT

9.PANEL BALANCING
