Notes if existing wood floor finish is used, EWS would adapt ductwork serving first floor to existing grilles. Decision to provide return duct rough only in IT Equip 105.1, and add through-wall fan on reverse thermostat to dump excess heat from IT Equip to Stair 2. No supply duct at this time, use corridor air for make up supply.PF to follow up with Valley Communications and IBS to get heat output of equipment and upper temperature limit.PF3.2PF contacted Valley Communications, learned that they need confirmation of equipment selections from C&B in order to provide heat output.. JC unaware of selections, Chris discussed options with C&B, agreement to wait until DB returns. General agreement that last three months of inconclusive progress now begins to cause delay. RAPS requests that TCI & RA coordinate with low-voltage and telecommunications provider directly, asks if Normandeau Communications might be an option. RAPS11.1JC indicates desire to reused selected existing fixtures stored in Closet 111. RA to review and rewire fixtures as required. Anna to review fixtures and make recommendation for locations.Closed14Insulation of existing exterior walls discussed. Existing walls are braced frame with brick infill construction, with maybe 1" cavity between brick and interior plaster. DB requests TCI prepare a quote to provide insulation, for submittal to gas company for incentive review.TCI to review options, make recommendation including cost, for next project meeting.TCI14.1DT1 reviewed scope of work for a deep energy retrofit, removing plaster, removing and salvaging trim on exterior walls, removing masonry infill, removing portion of ceiling adjacent to exterior walls, foaming in polyurethane insulation for thermal resistance and air sealing, installing new gypbd interior finish and reinstalling trim; as well as scope of work to insulate and air seal attic, and scope of work in the basement. Conservative estimate is $80K, maybe less. JC asked if there were less comprehensive alternatives.PF to follow up with CET to determine what qualifies for incentives and rebates, and how much. Also review alternatives such as adding insulation to the exterior instead of witin the walls.PFPage 3 of 6 14.2TCI prepared estimates for 4 zone system and no additional insulation, deep energy retrofit and 2 zone system, and middle ground approach to add insulation to the interior face of exterior walls. CET indicates that up to 50% of insulation material and labor expense is reimbursed, nothing for windows. Universal concern that Chuck Miller will not approve middle ground approach as complaince alternative.PF to develop sketches and meet with Chuck Miller to determine acceptability. If acceptable, TCI to provide more detailed cost estimate. If not acceptable, agreeement to revise HVAC to 4 zone system.PF14.3ETT & PF met with Chuck Miller who accepted partial approach, noting this was a remodel and acknowleging impossibility of continuous air barrier. PF reviewed circulated comparative heat loss spreadsheets. Agreement to proceed with at least adding insulation to walls, probably removing and insulationg trrims as well, pending final cost estimate from TCI. TCI to provide cost estimate for options 2 & 3 by Wednesday 31 Aug.DT219LG requested room finish schedule and door hardware schedules. DT2 notes door handset count has increased, we have more doors.
