Moreover, it will also provide new opportunities the creative spaces in the building will include three informal classroom/rehearsal studio spaces, a visual arts gallery, a black box theater and ancillary spaces, and a flexible performance/event space. A large entrance lobby/cafe/ box office area and administrative offices will complete the building. The Trust hosted a neighborhood meeting last September to outline plans and seek feedback regarding the project. Feedback was positive and no substantive issues arose. Further, the building has been in use since acquisition though at a far lower level than we expect post -renovation. In addition, members of the Arts Trust board have met with members of the Ward 3 Association, who in turn have expressed their support for the Hawley Street project.
