Collins – Crochiere Construction Services, Inc. is the construction manager hired by SMJ Metals/Ralph’s Blacksmith Shop to oversee and coordinated the construction of the expansion of
the current miscellaneous metals fabrication and finishing shop. The project will require all subcontractors, suppliers and future owner operations to comply with the Order of Conditions
set forth by the Northampton Conservation Commission and related City Departments. Collins – Crochiere Construction Services, Inc. has received, read and understands and will comply
with the Order of Conditions
Specifically all parties associated with this project will:
Pre Preconstruction Meeting
The sequencing plan for the erosion control on site is as follows:
Post the sign required by Item 10 page 5 of 10 Mass DEP….
Walk the site and check all wetlands bounds flagging and insure all are visible.
Erosion controls will be installed as noted on the Berkshire Design drawings ‘Sheet 1 of 1” dated August 11, 2015 and L.1 dated September 18, 2015
Site contractor will install silt barriers.
Site contractor shall remove concrete pads and slabs, remove extraneous sand left behind by industrial operations, and scarify soils in the areas required by the Berkshire Design drawings
‘Sheet 1 of 1” dated August 11, 2015 and L.1 dated September 18, 2015.
Site Contractor shall place boulders to establish the edge of wetlands replication areas.
Post all “Order of Conditions” paperwork and plans in a visible location on site for operators and workers information.
Pre-construction on site meeting shall be held to review work.
Work on site and erosion controls will be checked daily during work on site to monitor the condition of erosion controls and make any repairs, clean up necessary. After work on site
is complete, erosion control and wetland replication areas will be inspected weekly and
after any rainfall to check on conditions, repairs needed and compliance.
A supply of emergency repair materials will be kept on site available for repairs until stabilization areas reach permanent status.
All disturbed areas will be graded, loamed, seeded or covered with erosion control mesh, netting and straw prior to November 30 of each year, until stabilization areas reach permanent
status.
This contractor will request a Certificate of Compliance when the stabilization areas reach at least 75% of the surface of each restoration area has been re-established in indigenous
plants after three growing seasons.
Conditions that do not expire with the issuance of a Certificate of Compliance are items numbered 33, 34, 35 in the order of conditions; the property owner is familiar with these notifications,
instructions and maintenance requirements.
Stone boulders shall be used to demark the riverfront restoration area and shall be maintained in perpetuity.
The restoration plan is as required and noted in the Berkshire Design drawings ‘Sheet 1 of 1” dated August 11, 2015 and L.1 dated September 18, 2015.
