I will send an inspector out this week to verify the conditions of the property and to determine if a public health nuisance has been created due to the conditions. If this is the case, we will then send orders to correct to the property owner(s). I remember dealing with this property about a year ago and were successful in getting the property owner to abate the cited violations. At any point moving forward there is an issue with trash accumulation or pests being attracted to the property due to overgrown vegetation or standing water, please feel free to contact the Health Department directly and we will address it. The property is increasingly overgrown (weeds about my head as I walk by)and there is trash accumulating in the yard. I am concerned about the possibility of squatters moving in, that the house may present health hazards or be susceptible to arson or accidental fire. At what point can the city take action because a property is a potential or actual hazard to the neighborhood? If there is some kind dispute about the house that prevents sale or demolition, will it ever be resolved? Please, can some legal action be taken?Thank you, Ann Zulawski https:/'mai 1.google.com/mai11?ui=2&ik=23c5575 I e3&view=pt&search=inbox&th=155986c... 7/6/2016 City of Northampton Mail - Re: 59 West Farms Road, AGAIN Page 2 of 4 Ann Zulawski Sydenham C. Her name is Donna LaScaleia. her email is dlascaleia@northamptonma.gov Her phone number is 587-1570 ext 4301 I had a good talk about this property and the condition that this site is in.with Merridith . I can't answer for the inside, and I agree nobody has been living in there for quite a while. Owners have a responsibilty to keep up with there property, and I no for a fact that there are probably other houses that are just left un- attended . Please call Merridith or email her when the condition is out of hand again. Please cc it to me also. I keep track of situations like this. Jodi Brown told me that there are animals again at this site. I have to agree with the building inspector that people are throwing there trash on the side of the road and the animals are getting at it. https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik=23c55751 e3&view=pt&search=inbox&th=155986c... 7/6/2016 City of Northampton Mail - Re: 59 West Farms Road, AGAIN Page 3 of 4 Jodi also told me there are mosquito's terrible there due to the high grass.
